This pocket sized book describes, in detail, routes to all 56 Trig Points on the Isle of Skye and Raasay. The routes vary from serious undertakings into the Cuillin to a range of "family friendly" hill and coastal walks, identified by a useful icon throughout the book, all leading to what is claimed to be the 56 best viewpoints on the Island. It was featured in Trail magazine which described it as the first of its kind in Scotland. They obviously loved it describing it as "quirky". It also featured on BBC Radio Scotland's "Out of Doors" programme. Their commentator was amazed that no one else had thought of putting together such a guide to what he described as "Trig Point Bagging". The guide includes OS map detail and useful information on points of both historical and general interest. A great little book for your next trip to Skye.

Great wee pocket book for walks and scrambles for all ages and abilities from gentle 30 minute strolls to all day mountain adventures. I suggest that you do need a os map of the islands to get the best of the guide... Though the mini os maps in the book are adequate for the job.
